Terms & Conditions

The terms for bookings, payments and use of Club facilities, online and at the Club office.

Last updated: 31 October 2026

1. About these terms

These terms apply to bookings and payments made with Sri Mulam Club ("the Club") through this website, the members' area (My Club) and the Club office — including Guest House rooms, halls and lawns, sports and other facilities, food orders, and members' dues and subscriptions. By booking or paying, you agree to these terms, the Club's bye-laws and the house rules notified by the Club.

2. Who may book

  • Members may book facilities for themselves and their guests, at member rates.
  • Guests of members may use the Club only when introduced by a member, who remains responsible for them.
  • Members of affiliated clubs may use facilities as permitted by the Club's reciprocal arrangements.
  • The public may book only the facilities the Club opens to non-members, at the published guest rates.

The Club may ask for a membership card, photo ID or the introducing member's details at check-in or entry.

3. Prices and payment

  • Prices are shown in Indian Rupees. GST is charged as applicable and shown on the Club's tax invoice.
  • Online payments are processed securely by the Club's payment gateway partner. The Club does not see or store your card, net-banking or UPI credentials.
  • A booking is confirmed only when payment (or the required advance) is received and a confirmation is shown or sent to you.
  • If a payment is debited but the booking is not confirmed, the amount is refunded as described in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

4. Members' dues and subscriptions

  • Monthly subscriptions and other charges are billed to the member's account as decided by the Club's committee.
  • A member whose dues exceed ₹1,000 is blocked from using the bar, the restaurant and the membership card until the dues are brought below that amount. Dues can be cleared at the Club office or online, and the block is lifted as soon as the payment is received.
  • Payments are adjusted against the oldest unpaid bills first. The member's statement in My Club and at the office shows the balance.

5. Guest House rooms

  • Check-in and check-out times are shown with the booking and at the front desk.
  • Guests must carry valid photo ID; foreign nationals are registered as required by law.
  • Room rates, extra-person charges and cancellation terms are those shown at the time of booking and in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Halls, lawns and functions

  • The Main Hall / Community Hall (weddings and large functions) is booked at the Club office with a signed booking agreement. Other halls may be enquired about or booked online, subject to confirmation by the Club office.
  • A security deposit may be collected for hall bookings, as per the Club's hall booking form. It is returned after the venue is inspected, less any amount for damage, loss, extra cleaning or charges due, as per that form.
  • The organiser is responsible for the conduct of their guests, decorations, sound and timings as notified by the Club, and for complying with all applicable laws and permissions.

7. Food orders

Food and beverages ordered through the website or My Club are prepared at the Club and served or handed over at the Club premises (table, room or collection counter). Menu items and prices may change, and items may be unavailable on some days.

8. Service delivery

All bookings are for services provided at the Club premises in Thiruvananthapuram on the booked date(s). The Club does not ship physical goods. A confirmation and tax invoice are sent by WhatsApp or e-mail and are available in My Club or from the office.

9. House rules and conduct

Dress code, timings, guest limits, alcohol service rules and other house rules are as notified by the Club from time to time. The Club may refuse service or entry, or end a booking, where these rules or the law are not followed, and any charges already incurred remain payable.

10. Liability

The Club takes reasonable care of its facilities and services. To the extent permitted by law, the Club is not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings, or for losses caused by events beyond its reasonable control (such as natural events, power or network failures, or government orders). Members and guests are responsible for damage they or their guests cause to Club property.

11. Changes to bookings by the Club

If the Club has to cancel or change a confirmed booking for reasons within its control, it will offer an alternative or a full refund of the amount paid for that booking.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, have jurisdiction.

13. Changes to these terms

The Club may update these terms. The version shown on this page on the date of your booking applies to that booking.
